Week 5 Testing Summary

Over a few days, we recieved a nice handful of about 25 reviews for Twist & Turn from our Google Form, and got lots of awesome feedback. Here's the summary:

General data from testing:

  • The reviews state there was a 20:80 split between those who appriciated the base controls, and those who deemed it to need some further improvement.
  • Around 80% of reviewers stated that they liked/prefered ball view mode for the main camera. We will likely phase out fixed view mode due to the lack of interest.
  • Overall, you guys really liked the game, as 90% of ratings fell between 6-9 on our patented trash-o-meter.
  • Most reviewers appreciated the visiblity of the text, but we also understand the level selection and main menu text needs minor adjustment.
  • Overall, you enjoyed level 2 "Zig & Zag" the most (you should thank Fish, its designer), and did not enjoy the jank in levels 5 and 6.
  • Many testers played without (until reminded about) using certain controls, such as spacebar to launch and camera rotation with A or D.
  • Some reviewers expressed interest in or requested for the implementation of more levels and functions. While some more levels reusing existing elements could be made for the Week 6 build (no promises), we will prioritise adjusting existing features first.
Employee of the Month

Onetwo "Zig-Zag" Anderson's ability to overcome brick walls without a sweat has elevated our team's prospects to a new level.
